Taryn Hirst

People Consultant


Taryn is a dedicated HR professional with a unique background in law and a passion for people-centred solutions. Graduating from the Open University in 2021 with an upper second-class Law degree, Taryn went on to pursue postgraduate studies at the Bar with an integrated Master’s in Law. 


Following this Taryn went on to gain experience working in a law firm’s new business department, where a deep understanding of legal frameworks and business operations were developed. During this time Taryn experienced an awakening realising that the true strength of any organisation lies in its people, sparking a profound interest in Human Resources. 


Taryn began studying for the CIPD level 5 qualification and immersed herself into HR with the goal of making a meaningful impact. Now as a key member of ProtoPeople Taryn specialises in working with start-ups, bringing a fresh perspective.

Sophie Coles
HR Management Consultant


Sophie is an experienced International HR practitioner (Chartered Fellow CIPD) with a record of success in the development and evolution of best-in-class HR capabilities. Solution-orientated with a focus on delivering business results in complex matrix environments.

Previously with Legal & General and American Express, areas of expertise across people strategy, talent management, mergers & acquisitions, project management, resourcing and OD across international markets. Industry experience spans financial services, FMCG, retail operations and public relations
